(Why Wake Club)

Everything a lake day should be — wakesurf, wakeboard, tubing, pontoon cruising, swimming. We bring the boat, the gear and a driver who runs the whole day. You just show up and get on the water.

(On the lake since 2021)

A different kind of lake day.

We're not a rental counter tossing you the keys. We bring the boat, the boards, the tubes and a driver — and take you out to do watersports on Lake Hopatcong. Surf, board, tube, swim, cruise.

That's what keeps people coming back to the lake: they don't come once. They bring their friends, their family, and make it their summer.

(FAQ)

Good questions.

Do I need any experience?+

No. Most people stand up their first session. The driver coaches you from the first attempt — just bring yourself.

Can I really wakeboard or wakesurf my first time?+

Yes. Lake Hopatcong's calm water makes wakeboarding and wakesurfing easier than the ocean, and the driver coaches you up. Almost everyone gets up on day one.

Do I need to know how to swim?+

You should be comfortable in the water. Everyone wears a USCG-approved life vest and we're right there the whole time.

What should I bring?+

Swimsuit, towel, sunscreen. Bring drinks and snacks if you want. We handle the boards, vests, tubes and the wake.

When are you open?+

May through October, daily from 6am to 11pm. Summer weekends book up fast — reserve early.

How far is it from New York City?+

About an hour. Lake Hopatcong sits ~45 miles northwest of Manhattan — straight up I-80, the closest real lake-watersports day to the city. Trade the subway for 2,500 acres of open water.

Coming with kids or family?+

Families love it. Tubing is great for ages 6+, and we keep it easy and safe for everyone. Younger or hesitant kids can ride along on the boat.

What if the weather's bad?+

We keep an eye on the forecast and reach out if it's not safe to head out. We'll reschedule you to another day — and if we can't find one that works, you get a full refund. Light rain, we usually still run.

How do I book?+

All online. Hit any Book button, pick your date and time on the live calendar, then choose to pay in full or just a deposit — you're confirmed instantly by email. Prefer to talk it through first? Call or text (973) 878-4990.

Can I cancel or reschedule?+

Yes — cancel or reschedule any booking for free up to 72 hours before your start time. Within 72 hours we can't refund or move it, so pick a day you're sure about.

Do I pay the full amount up front?+

Your choice at checkout — pay in full, or leave a deposit and settle the balance later. Either way you're confirmed right away.

What happens after I book?+

You'll get a confirmation email with directions and parking. Show up a few minutes early at 453 N River Styx Rd to sign waivers and head down to the boat — your session starts at the booked time. All watersports gear is included; just bring a swimsuit, towel and sunscreen (plus your boater's safety card and license if you're self-driving).

We're a little obsessed with making content. Every session someone's filming — and odds are we'll catch you mid-wave and cut it into something you'll actually want to post.
