The easiest place to learn. Lake Hopatcong's calm water beats the ocean, and your driver coaches you the whole time — picks the right board, dials wake size, boat speed and rope length to your level, and talks you up step by step. Wakesurf rope-free, or strap in for wakeboard and water ski. About an hour up I-80 from NYC.

Everyone rides
Wakesurf, wakeboard or ski — the driver coaches each rider up, one at a time.
Tube, swim, cruise
Between sets: tubing, swimming off the boat, anchoring in a cove.
Back to the dock
Cruise back with your photos to keep.

Will I actually get up on the board?+
Almost everyone does, usually first try. Lake Hopatcong's calm water makes wakesurfing far easier than the ocean.

Both — tell your coach what you want to learn. Wakesurf, wakeboard or water ski, all behind the same boat.
How many people can come?+
Up to 12 on the boat. Everyone gets coached up, one rider at a time.
